Experiences

During graduate school (1993/1997), he attended the Digestive Endoscopy Service of the I Surgical Clinic of Policlinico Umberto I in Rome on a daily basis, where under the expert guidance of Professor Emilio Di Giulio, he began practicing diagnostic and operative digestive endoscopy

Between 1997 and 2003, he held six-month assignments at the ASL/RmD first aid stations, gaining particular experience in the management of emergencies and emergencies and numerous “substitutions” of holders for the gastroenterology branch for ASL/RmF and ASL/RmH

From 1997 to 2004 he worked as Head of the Service of Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at the San Giuseppe Nursing Home in Rome affiliated with the National Health Service where he also performed digestive endoscopy (mainly diagnostic and operative esophagogastroduodenoscopy) in a post-acute rehabilitation ward under extremely difficult conditions with frequently “critical” patients, acquiring further experience and particular skill and dexterity in performing often quite complex endoscopic examinations

From 2004 to 2009, he served in the department of Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at the Policlinico Casilino in Rome and, also during the same period, in the department of Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at the San Raffaele Termini Hospital accredited with the

NHS by gaining increasing experience in the practice of diagnostic and operative digestive endoscopy in election and emergency

From October 2009 to February 2015, he was in charge of the Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy service of the Villa Stuart Private Nursing Home, and during this period of activity alone, he performed as the first operator about 1800 endoscopic examinations (diagnostic and operative esophagogastroduodenoscopies and colonoscopies) and more than 1500 gastroenterology specialist visits.

From October 2010 he started, among the first operators in Italy, to use CO2 (carbon dioxide) in colonoscopies with remarkable advantage (total absence of “bloating” and post-procedure abdominal pain) for patients becoming, in Italy, one of the most experienced operators in the management and use of the same

Since March 2015, he has been practicing daily as a specialist and branch manager at IRCCS San Raffaele (diagnostic digestive endoscopy and specialist visits) and at San Raffaele Termini Presidio (specialist visits)

Also practices at Villa del Rosario Private Nursing Home major operative digestive endoscopy (complex polypectomies and endoscopic mucosectomies)

He currently devotes himself daily and exclusively to the practice of diagnostic and operative digestive endoscopy (simple and complex), performing more than 1,200 primary care procedures and approximately 800 gastroenterology specialist visits each year

He has been a member of SIED (Italian Society of Digestive Endoscopy) since 1997.
