He specializes in Endocrinology and Exchange Diseases.

Diagnostic and interventional ultrasound with emphasis on Endocrinology and Andrology, Thyroid ultrasonography and echocolordoppler, Echo-guided needle aspiration thyroid nodules, Testicular ultrasonography and echocolordoppler, Basal and dynamic penile ultrasonography and echocolordoppler.

Dr. Bruzziches’ areas of interest invest several areas of Endocrinology and Andrology, particularly obesity with its co-morbidities and male sexual dysfunction, in a broader view that embraces internal medicine. He studied some pathogenetic aspects of erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and age-related testosterone deficiency.

His work is aimed at elucidating some pathogenetic, diagnostic, and therapeutic aspects of male erectile dysfunction, highlighting the role of endothelial dysfunction in the pathogenesis of this disorder and highlighting its correlations with cardiovascular disease, obesity, metabolic syndrome, and diabetes mellitus.

He elaborated on the possible role of chronic therapy with phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors in penile vascular rehabilitation and their possible use in diseases of internist interest affecting the microcirculation, such as in Systemic Sclerosis.

As part of his practice, he has gained excellent experience in the area of age-related testosterone deficiency (Late Onset Hypogonadism) and the possible implications defined by this syndrome. In this area, he has supervised several studies to determine the efficacy and long-term safety of testosterone replacement therapy in obese subjects with age-related hypogonadism associated with metabolic syndrome and/or type 2 diabetes mellitus, demonstrating a marked improvement in metabolic and cardiovascular parameters and a positive impact on the general well-being, psychological, social, and sex life status of these patients.
