Dr. Domenica Le Pera is a neurologist and neurophysiologist who has gained experience and expertise in the diagnosis, medical treatment, and rehabilitation therapy of major neurological diseases, with special reference to Cerebrovascular Diseases, Parkinson’s Disease and Atypical Parkinsonisms, and Headaches.
In his educational background, he holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, a Level II Master’s degree in Cerebrovascular Diseases and a Level II Master’s degree in Neurorehabilitation.
Since February 2008, he has held the position of Chief of the Post-Acute Intensive Neuromotor Rehabilitation Department at IRCCS San Raffaele in Rome, where he also performs outpatient activities.
His fields of research have involved brain mapping of evoked potentials after laser and electrical stimulation and, in particular, the study of sensorimotor interaction in the central nervous system using motor evoked potentials and painful muscle and skin stimulation.
In recent years, she has been interested in studying and improving rehabilitation strategies with new technologies, such as the use of robotic devices.
