L’Operational Unit of Residences, accredited with the Regional Health System, is in charge of 95 users followed in residential care (including 68 in the main facility and the remaining 27 users divided among 4 different microstructures), responding to the needs of guests who present a particular physical, behavioral and/or social vulnerability that make outpatient treatment difficult or impossible.
Users have mild to profound mental retardation, behavioral disorders, and comorbid psychiatric conditions. They are followed with individual rehabilitative projects aimed at recovering skills and competencies, maintaining and enhancing residual ones, and in some cases developing a first project of autonomy, as the purpose of rehabilitative work in microstructures.
The Service has a multidisciplinary team consisting of medical managers, psychologists, the social work service, plus various rehabilitation professionals.
