TheOperating Unit of the Disabled Adult, accredited with the Regional Health System, cares for 35 patients on a daily basis in a semiresidential setting.
The programs and methods of implementing interventions are diversified and customized in accordance with the different pathologies, residual abilities possessed, specific behavioral difficulties manifested, family conditions, and each user’s own interests considering the adult age of the patients.
Rehabilitation work aims not only at the exercise and preservation of skill related to conceptual intelligence, but especially at the enhancement of social intelligence, which is directed at three basic aspects:
PERSONAL AUTONOMY, HOUSING AUTONOMY, SOCIAL AUTONOMY.
