RSA – Extended Care Level Core for DCCG – Flaminia

The core of Extended Maintenance for Severe Cognitive Behavioral Disorders – DCCG, accredited with the Regional Health System, temporarily accommodates non-self-sufficient people with severe dementia characterized by behavioral and/or affective disorders such as to provide health-assistance services aimed at functional recovery and reorientation treatments (cognitive stimulation and family meetings) and personal protection in a protected environment.
Reception is for both men and women whose stay is generally not to exceed 60 days.
Amultidisciplinary team is in place, consisting of the doctor in charge, attending physician, nurses, social health workers (OSS), occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, psychologist and social worker. Specialist medical services are also guaranteed through constant and scheduled accesses of the neurologist, psychiatrist and geriatrician. A 24-hour medical on-call service is also dedicated to the core.
The clinical care and cognitive reorientation interventions. include, among others, treatment of specific conditions such as pressure injuries, intravenous drug therapies, functional recovery interventions, and multimodal stimulation treatments to improve the patient’s spatio-temporal and personal cognition, all aimed at the user’s return to his or her home or, in cases where this is not possible, relocation to a Maintenance RSA.
For each guest there is an Individualized Care Plan (IAP) drawn up by the multidisciplinary team on the basis of specific clinical-health needs and complete with psycho-socio-educational programs aimed at recovering their abilities.
