The goal of excellence in health care has been vigorously pursued by St. Raphael’s since the early 1980s through the selection of the most advanced technologies and a class of specialists of absolute professionalism. In just a few years, the approach to rehabilitation in all its many aspects-neuromotor, cardiovascular, respiratory, ENT, geriatric, and pediatric-has been revolutionized, inserting in that context an added value of considerable scientific and clinical interest.

An integrated research network

 

The integrated care network ranges from rehabilitation to social work, from long-term care to hospice, with an important focus on cardiovascular, respiratory, neurodegenerative, (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s), developmental disabilities diseases with key support, as far as diagnostic activities are concerned, from the network of St. Raphael Specialist Outpatient Clinics that make use of state-of-the-art equipment.

A network of facilities and professional expertise which travels the entire peninsula, from central to southern Italy, from Lazio to Abruzzo, all the way to Puglia and Sardinia: the patient can safely and confidently rely on the various facilities counting on the availability of more than 4,000 beds and the assistance of 3,000 health professionals.

Here, patient care, supported by the best specialized knowledge and complemented by a multidisciplinary approach, is supported by continuous research aimed at improving and personalizing care.

The integration of care and research is the organization’s strength, which finds its greatest expression in the 30 research laboratories of the San Raffaele Research Institute.
The Institute, located within the futuristic complex at 247 Via di Val Cannuta, conducts intensive and qualified research in the field of rehabilitation in collaboration with numerous Italian and foreign researchers.
