Agreements with the main insurance companies and health funds
St. Raphael Group has direct and indirect agreements with major insurance companies and health funds.
How do I know if I am conventioned?
Most employment contracts provide health coverage:
- EMPLOYEE – check to see if your paycheck has an entry for health fund or health insurance deductions, or check what your national collective bargaining agreement (CCNL) says
- FREE PROFESSIONAL – if you are registered, ask your professional association for information
- PENSIONER – in some cases, the coverage you received during your professional activity is also extended to your pension
What kinds of conventions are there?
There are two types of convention: direct and indirect.
DIRECT AGREEMENT
Direct agreement provides for direct payment, either in full or in part (deductible to be paid by the patient), of the benefit to the patient by the insurance company or health fund.
For Fasi, Faschim, Fasi Open: simply show up with ID card or POSITION CODE to verify insurance coverage and medical claim, if any.
For Fasdac: simply report your first and last name in acceptance.
For all other conventions: book your service at St. Raphael Outpatient Clinic, then contact your insurance company’s operations center and tell them the date and time of your scheduled appointment.
The insurance company will confirm to you the coverage of the service booked and the amount you may have to pay (deductible), the possible need for medical referral, and will send St. Raphael an authorization (intake) essential to apply the direct form.
St. Raphael’s staff cannot apply the agreement in direct form if, for any reason, they do not receive approval from the insurance company or if you do not have the medical service required by the insurance company with you in cases where it is mandatory.
INDIRECT CONVENTION
Indirect agreement requires the patient to advance payment for the service and then eventually seek reimbursement, in full or in part, from their insurance company or health fund.
Book and perform the service at St. Raphael’s, pay the amount at the agreed-upon price, then, if provided by the policy, claim reimbursement from the insurance company by submitting the invoice. Always show up with your identification card.
