Laboratory Analysis

St. Raphael Outpatient Clinics’ testing laboratory employs highly qualified staff and technologically advanced instrumentation, thanks to which it is able to perform all types of clinical tests, from the simplest to the most complex. The ‘computerization of the entire analytical process enables the laboratory to perform examinations in a timely manner and in total safety, both in the analysis and reporting phases.

Visits and Examinations

In the analysis laboratories of St. Raphael Outpatient Clinics, the following services are performed:

  • Hematology ( such as blood counts)
  • Coagulation (such as PT/INR, APTT, fibrinogen, D-Dimer)
  • Clinical Chemistry and Protidology (such as Urea, Blood Glucose, Creatinine, Clearance
  • Creatinine, Uricemia, Iron, Transferrin, Total Cholesterol, HDL , LDL, Triglycerides,
  • Total Protein, GOT, GPT, GGT, Total and Fractional Bilirubin, Alkaline Phosphatase, LDH, CPK,
  • Amylase, Sodium, Potassium, Chlorine, Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Protein Electrophoresis, CK-MB,
  • Troponin, Myoglobin, PCR)
  • Enzyme immunoassay (such as FT3, FT4, TSH, Ferritin, PsaTotal, PSA free, PTH)
  • Autoimmunity
  • Allergology
  • Microbiology
  • ESR, Urinalysis, Urinoculture with Antibiogram, Faecal occult blood detection

 

Exam Preparation

Preparation for laboratory tests involves a number of cares on the part of the patient. Specifically:

FASTING: observe a fast of at least 8 to 12 hours. Exclude alcohol, sugar, and coffee, as they may affect the validity of the test results.
DIET: In the days preceding the analysis, the diet should not undergo any particular changes as long as there are no particular over or under changes in the usual caloric intake.
DRUGS: In the period prior to analysis, the use of any drug treatment is excluded.
EXERCISE: It is advisable to avoid sports physical activity, in the 8-12 hours prior to analysis.

IRCCS SAN RAFFAELE

The withdrawal room operates Monday through Saturday from 7:00 am to 10:30 am.

Reservations are required to perform examinations in agreement with the NHS, while access is free for private patients and/or those with insurance/institution agreements.

Report pickup at the reception desk Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

SAN RAFFAELE OF TERMINI

Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. || Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

All services are performed by appointment, and strict adherence to the booking time is recommended (show up in close proximity to the appointment).

 

NEPI NURSING HOME

Withdrawal hours: Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Clinic Retreat Hours: Monday – Tuesday – Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday – Friday – Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

 

SAN RAFFAELE OF CASSINO

Monday through Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

 

SAN RAFFAELE OF SULMONA

Blood draws are conducted Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Reports are delivered to the front desk usually by the day after the examinations are performed. Report pickup is Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and can be picked up by the person directly concerned or by a different person as long as they have a proper proxy
