Rossini Paolo Maria

Specialista in Neurologia e Direttore del Dipartimento di Neuroscienze e Neuroriabilitazione IRCCS San Raffaele.

Il Prof. Rossini ha interessi principali nel campo delle tecniche neurofisiologiche applicate allo studio delle funzioni del sistema nervoso centrale umano, nonché per la diagnosi e il trattamento precoce delle malattie neurologiche, in particolare demenza e invecchiamento cerebrale patologico. È stato un pioniere nel campo dei metodi avanzati per l’analisi dell’EEG, dei Potenziali Evocati e della stimolazione elettromagnetica transcranica non invasiva. Coordina diversi studi multicentrici che affrontano l’analisi comparativa dei risultati neurofisiologici con altri ‘biomarcatori’ per l’identificazione precoce della condizione di MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment) prodromica alla demenza.

Prestazioni

È operativo presso l’IRCCS San Raffaele il servizio centralizzato di Neurofisiopatologia, per la diagnosi delle malattie del sistema nervoso centrale e periferico, che garantisce le seguenti prestazioni:

  • EEG tradizionale
  • Potenziale evocato somatosensoriale arto superiore e arto inferiore
  • Potenziale evocato motorio tramite stimolazione magnetica transcranica
  • Elettromiografia
  • Riflessi (Blink, riflesso H etc.)
  • Batteria tests neuropsicologici per declino cognitivo
