San Raffaele Portuense has 96 beds, of which 87 are in ordinary inpatient care for the most complex clinical cases and 9 in Day Hospital.
Day hospital is a type of hospital care characterized by the provision of evaluative, diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services to patients with disabling conditions that do not involve the need for continuous medical and nursing care over 24 hours, typical of ordinary hospitalization. It can therefore be prescribed in the diagnostic phase, rehabilitation for conditions that do not require ordinary hospitalization, or in the post-hospitalization phase, allowing the Patient discharged from the ward to complete the course of treatment from home, if necessary.
Inpatients are guaranteed, in addition to the individual and group motor rehabilitation activities carried out by Physiotherapists with the support of state-of-the-art tools, those of occupational and speech therapy, training and implementation of activities of daily living, psychological and social support, as well as counseling for the choice of aids and assessment of architectural barriers present at home.
Specialist consultations and services provided by diagnostic services are provided by resources on site or at IRCCS San Raffaele Pisana.

The Facility is divided into 4 inpatient floors. Each department features double and single rooms with en suite bathrooms and a common living room. The ground floor and fourth floor have outdoor spaces set up for socialization activities.
Rehabilitation activities take place in the specially equipped spaces in the 4 gyms and the occupational therapy laboratory. Dedicated spaces are allocated to the Day Hospital, outpatient clinics and services.
Special attention is paid to catering, supported by the in-house kitchen coordinated by the figure of the Dietitian.
The Facility is authorized and accredited by the Lazio Region under the Decree of the Commissioner ad acta no. 107 of 8/04/2016 for inpatient rehabilitation services (paid by the Regional Health System) and is authorized outpatient services (for Solvent Users).
